I just love the variation of grain pattern in Marri! Here you have the abundant feature grain top covered in gum vein, the “curly” Marri for the rails, and the standard “clean” Marri for the legs with minimal gum vein. Together it creates an exclusive dining room table which can never be duplicated. Yes, the design can be copied but unlike other timbers whose grain pattern and colour is relatively consistent, each Marri slab is individual and distinctive. To think that not many years ago this timber was only graded as firewood, yet today is being used to create heirloom pieces of furniture.
