Using an original piece of glass from the 1980’s, I designed this modern contemporary frame in NSW Blackbutt to allow the table to be once again used in the family home. After being stored in numerous locations throughout rural WA for the last 15+ years, the glass required a fresh look from the chrome circular legs and rails it used to sit on. As the glass was originally hand cut and polished, it wasn’t perfectly symmetrical. Therefore the hexagonal angles of the centre piece were planed by hand to match, ensuring the legs intersected the glass correctly.
